GLOBAL CSR and CBS Study on Responsible Supply Chain Management
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds study on possible challenges of traditional approaches to responsible supply chain management.
On GLOBAL CSR’s request the Danish MFA has granted research funds to a joint project analysing possible challenges of traditional approaches to responsible supply chain management. “Re-visiting Responsible Supply Chain Management” is carried out by Copenhagen Business School and GLOBAL CSR and is due in June 2010.
It includes review of existing research on the topic, buyers’ Codes of Conduct, interviews with Danish and international buyers and suppliers in economic developing countries. The study is also expected to highlight opportunities for revising responsible supply chain management approaches by addressing any weaknesses of the existing approaches.
CEO of GLOBAL CSR, Sune Skadegaard Thorsen, states:
“In recent years we have experienced ever increasing interest in our approach to responsible supply chain management – Generation 3. We are delighted that the Danish MFA has granted funds to a thorough study of the need to pursue new avenues in regard to responsible supply chain management and we are thrilled to get the chance to work with CBS as well as Danish and international buyers on this project.”
