Matteo is a master’s student in Environment and Development at the University of Copenhagen. His main academic interest lies in understanding which mechanisms and tools can best advance sustainability in today’s society – a theme he explored in the classroom through different lenses, from global value chain analysis to corporate sustainability governance, which brought him to closely follow how evolving regulations are shaping companies’ sustainability efforts.

His internship at GLOBAL CSR represents a natural step in his journey, allowing him to bridge his theoretical background with the practical knowledge of sustainability consulting.

Prior experiences include fieldwork in Nepal on climate adaptation and a research assistantship on renewable energy communities in Italy.

He speaks fluent Italian and English, with intermediate proficiency of French and limited proficiency in Spanish and Danish.
