Brian Chen is a Sustainability Consultant at GLOBAL CSR, where he supports companies in implementing Sustainability Due Diligence in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. His work focuses on helping businesses translate these international standards into practical, operational processes to identify and manage sustainability impacts.

With a background spanning civil society and the private sector, Brian has worked on issues related to labour rights, international migration, and the prevention of labour trafficking, giving him a strong understanding of the social dimensions of responsible business conduct. He brings a nuanced grasp of sustainability regulations and emerging due diligence laws across the EU and Asia, enabling companies to stay ahead of evolving compliance expectations.

Brian holds a Master’s degree in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from McGill University. Originally from China, he has lived and worked across North America, Asia, and Europe, and speaks fluent English and Chinese, with intermediate proficiency of French and limited proficiency in Arabic and Danish. His cross-cultural perspective and policy fluency inform his commitment to advancing responsible and sustainable business practices worldwide.
