GLOBAL CSR participated in UN’s annual forum on business and human rights!

Two weeks ago companies, investors, NGOs, consultants, UN representatives and many others went to Geneva to attend the UN’s annual forum on business and human rights. So did Sune Skadegaard Thorsen and Carolina Diaz-Lönborg from GLOBAL CSR together with our former colleague Sine Gyrup.

Besides attending and participating in various workshops and debates during the forum, GLOBAL CSR was part of the program. Sune facilitated a special session on how export credit agencies can make use of the UN Guidelines in practice. The session as well as the overall purpose with the forum was to take stock of businesses implementation of the UN Guidelines on Business and Human Rights. After the three days in Geneva the message was clear: Companies must focus on building capacity in human rights and get started with implementing the management system the UN guidelines define as a minimum standard for CSR.
